It is always a pleasure to have Cristal Ryder visit my blog! Today she’s got an interview for us and a new book. Take it away, Cristal…
Thanks so much for having me Cassandra, my fellow Cabal of Hotness Hottie
1) Tell us a bit about your new release.
Last Friday No Toys Tonight was released with Sybarite Seductions in their Daring line. It’s a double point of view, so you get both his and her story. You can buy it as an anthology or as each individual story. There is an excerpt and blurbs below.
2) Where do you get your ideas? For example Life experience, fantasies, experiences and fantasies of friends, etc.
Ideas seem to materialize. Any little thing seems to spark and idea. Like in the news today a sinkhole spawned a whole new sci fi story. I doubt it will ever get told since there are so many ahead of it.
3) What do you find draws you most to write?
Telling the story. I get excited about it and then I have to do something with it and not let it go until it’s told.
4) What else do you have in the works?
A foodie BDSM story.
5) How do you name your characters? Any special tricks?
Not really. They pop up and say “hello, my name is xxx” sometimes I’ve changed names after I start because it doesn’t seem to fit the character anymore.
6) Do you own an ebook reader or read on an electronic device? If so, what?
I have a Sony Pocket reader. Its a few years old now.
7) What’s your favorite guilty pleasure?
French fries. I love them. The crispier the better
8) Any vacation or appearance plans this year?
We just got back from a wonderful week in Florida, on North Captiva Island. We do have some plans in the summer – Saratoga Springs in August. And I will be at Romanticon, Ellora’s Cave annual conference.
10) What would your readers by very surprised to learn about you?
I’ve flown a plane. Yep, I piloted a Cessna 152, with an actual pilot beside me of course, and it was a blast. I think if I could do it all again, I’d be a pilot. And a writer of course
No Toys Tonight
A classic case of mistaken identity sparks a dangerous attraction that can only be satisfied with a daring sexual encounter. The lust heating up the car and freedom of anonymous sex is too delicious to ignore, even with the risk of discovery.
No Toys Tonight
Girls’ night out at a male strip club, at first Fiona thought it was just what she needed to let her hair down and go wild. But when things get a little bit out of hand, she bolts, right into the car of a very sexy-voiced cabby. Or so she thinks.
Nearly blinded by the blowing dust, it takes her a few moments to realize she’s stumbled into the backseat of a police car. When she discovers the cop is just as sexy as his voice, her inner wild child begs to come out and play.
No Toys Tonight—Off Duty
After a rough work day, all off-duty cop Reid wants is pizza, beer and to watch football. But fate has other plans for him. Outside a strip club a gorgeous beauty flags him down and his sense of duty makes him stop.
Despite a case of mistaken identity, Reid can’t help but be attracted to the woman in his backseat, and when she propositions him, he’s unable to resist the call to duty.
“Holy shit, you’re a cop.”
“Am I? Hadn’t noticed.”
Fiona couldn’t look away from him and her tongue was tied. He smiled and the cutest dimple creased into his cheek. Her finger itched to reach out and trace it. He was one hot dude. “I-I’m sorry. I was blinded by the dust and thought you were cab.” She glanced around. This wasn’t a normal cop car. It was plush almost, a comfy sedan with fabric seats and darkened windows. “Umm, this doesn’t look like a cop car.”
“It’s a detective vehicle. Unmarked.” He was still driving and she caught his look in the rear view. “So, what are you plans for the rest of the night?”
Did he just ask her out? Go with it Fiona. Go with it.
She put on the best seductive smile she could muster and said the first thing that came to her mind. “I’ve been a very bad girl and need to be punished.”
He didn’t say a thing. Just stared at her. Oh god, had she just gotten herself arrested as a hooker or something? But when his mouth quirked into a smile, she knew it was okay. Fiona sighed and leaned back on the seat, rubbing her palm over the fabric, thankful it wasn’t a police cruiser with sticky, plastic seats.
So then, what do you think comes next? I hope you liked the blurb and want to read more.
