Hockey player Jason Monroe lives a double life—star defenseman and soon-to-be Olympian on the ice and closeted gay man outside the rink. A serious relationship is out of the question, and Jason makes do with anonymous sex in barroom bathrooms, not willing to take the chance on coming out as gay in a decidedly macho sport.
Advisor to the US Olympic hockey team Patrick Parker knows a thing or two about being a professional hockey player who’s not out. He’s fifteen years older than Jason, and when he senses the sexy younger man is interested, he knows he shouldn’t give in to the attraction.
The two men can’t keep their hands off each other, though, and with each heated encounter it gets harder to hide their relationship. When their world blows up around them, forcing them into the limelight, though, will their love survive or be put on ice?
Jeff from PuckBuddys said: Carr expertly builds the sexual tension between these two. The push and pull between these alpha males is exquisite. And, not only does Carr write great scenes for the men, she also writes their internal dialogue perfectly to give the reader the details on what they're feeling and not saying. See the Light is a page turner well before the finale because of how invested you get in the characters.
Clover from Long and Short Reviews said: This isn’t the first book I have read by Cassandra Carr and as ever her voice is an easy to read style that pulls you into the story. I liked both characters, their banter and dialogue particularly. See the Light is a great get-your-teeth-into m/m novel that ticks all the boxes and will leave you feeling like you really know the two main characters and have had a good romp in the bedroom with them. I recommend it for not just m/m romance fans but also sports romance fans. Great job.
Rebecca from Indulgent Bloggers said: Carr proves she can write romance and love regardless of gender. The evolution of their relationship was gradual and follows a realistic ebb and flow. Carr gives such fleshed-out characterization of the men that readers see their inner struggles. The sex scenes will melt an ice rink. I could smell the ice. That’s how descriptive Carr’s scenes were. The ending was fabulous, albeit a bit abrupt, and conveyed a message more people need to hear. The acceptance of the teammates might still be far-reaching in reality but is a place I’d like to see our world come to.
Lasha from Dark Divas Reviews said: What I liked about See the Light was the May-December romance between Jason and Patrick. Their chemistry was off the charts, and was the best part of the novel for me. Every aspect of their relationship was fascinating. Recommended for people who like May-December romances and an Out For You storyline. http://www.darkdivasreviews.com/?p=9870
Roux from Mrs. Condit Reads Books said: Sometimes you finish reading a book and you just know that the story and characters will stay with you for a long time because they made such an impression. “See the Light” is a fine example of such writing. I loved how we are shown the complete development of Jason and Patrick’s relationship, from initial attraction to complete love. This is not a long story but the growth of the romance felt real and complete. I adored the book, the character growth, the evolution of their relationship from sexual to secret couple to out-and-in-love partners. The really hot sex scenes made this sweet story spicy and that’s a terrific combination!
ELF from Night Owl Reviews said: 4.5/5 stars! Top Pick! A sensual m/m romantic tale that combines the excitement of the world of hockey with the challenges that face anyone who doesn’t conform to the conventional norm. The author does a wonderful job of presenting the dilemma that each man faces as well as the frequently harsh censure that they may have to overcome from family, friends and colleagues, let alone strangers. The sizzling attraction between the two men and the lengths that they go to, first to avoid one another and then to find a way to deal with their lust for each other is deftly portrayed and the deepening of the relationship is delightful to watch. Another enjoyable tale from a talented author.
The Jeep Diva said: The passion and love that Jason and Patrick felt for each other both saddened and warmed my heart. Ms. Carr described both men’s feelings with such color and angst that I felt my heart breaking for them as they struggled to overcome the separations in the budding relationship. I became emotionally invested through the author’s eyes as I read page after page, cheering for the happy ending that I so desperately wanted. I would love to see a sequel to this book.
The Romance Reviews said: Overall, it was an enjoyable, sweet and sexy read!
Michelle from We Love Kink said: Cassandra Carr really hit it out of the park on this one. I know wrong sports analogy, this is a hockey story after all, but seriously I couldn’t put this book down. This is one of those that you will end up reading straight through because you can’t wait to see what happens next.
Nikki from Close Encounters with the Night Kind said: I must admit, envisioning two completely sexy hockey players wrapped up in each other makes me hot and a little jealous. What I wouldn't give to see that...err.....close up? Cassandra Carr does a wonderful job writing a realistic alpha male who likes other alpha males. There is a lot of awkwardness and tension that is expressed quite well, along with some smoking hot sex scenes. Its a good build-up between the two and it has an incredibly sweet ending. This author can write some naughty cowboys, but does good on the ice as well! Great Read!
Tams from MMGoodBookReviews said: Oh, God. Damn, this book was good! I LOVE Hockey, and hot men, especially when said hot men are all over each other. This book is all about what happens when you mix all the aforementioned attributes into one story.
The character development in this book was fantastic. Patrick knows he’s gay and is open and out with his family and close friends. Jason hides his sexuality from everyone including himself to an extent, but Patrick gets under his skin. Patrick knows who he is and what he wants, or who he wants that is, he wants Jason. Both men have to overcome personal and professional obstacles to be together. Stolen moments hidden away in motel rooms are wrapped around not only some extremely passionate sex, but room service and long conversations that ultimately lead to love.
Michele from Seductive Musings said: I was rooting for Patrick and Jason all the way through See The Light and cried happy tears when they finally reached their Happy For Now ending.
Annette of RomFan Reviews said: 5/5 hunks I moved this book to the top of my “to review” list and had it read in one night. It is one of those cannot put down books that you just keep reading because you have to know what happens next and will Jason and Patrick hook up and will it last. Cassandra Carr is one of those authors that will always be on my “must have” list.
Nix from Scorching Book Reviews said: It is a very steamy ride and I really did get hot under the collar; Cassandra Carr always writes such delicious sex scenes. This completely believable storyline was quite heart-breaking to read about. I really enjoyed the characters. Both heroes came across as strong, masculine men and this made their tender moments even more precious. This is a very steamy read that I recommend you read with a glass of ice water. I hope that Cassandra Carr carries on in the MM genre as this was a very promising start.

Ryan Tomasi feels like a failure. His marriage is officially over; the ink dried on the divorce decree. His friend Jack introduces him to BDSM and he agrees to attend a Halloween party at a club. A submissive approaches him, offering herself, and how can he refuse the kneeling beauty? They do a whirlwind scene and Ryan is addicted—both to dominance and to her.
Lisette Rinaldo is returning to the BDSM club for the first time since ending a bad relationship with her former master. She spots Ryan and is taken by the combination of self-assurance and nervousness the man displays as he takes in his surroundings. And after he gives her an incredible re-introduction to the lifestyle, she knows she needs to see the man again.
Ryan and Lisette explore each other and the lifestyle, but what started out as playtime quickly evolves into something more. The problem? Ryan isn’t ready to get serious again and Lisette doesn’t want to fall in love with a guy who can’t give all of himself to her. Both of them are going to have to break out of the bonds holding them back from happiness.
Kande from Not Now Mommy's reading said: This is a very mild and fun BDSM story and it isn't as intense or serious as some of the other ones out there.
L.T. Blue from JustEroticRomanceReviews said: 5/5 stars! When Lisette and Ryan are doing a scene you feel as if you are there with them feeling every caress and every stroke of the whip. The story line wasn’t complicated, but continued to hold my interest with two people who find they are happier together than apart, with or without the added pleasure of kink. The sex was extra hot with an added burn that was extremely pleasurable keeping you begging for release. The secondary characters (Jack and Callie from Carr's story Caught) played a crucial part as guides for Lisette and Ryan, but you often forgot they were even there. I experienced so many emotions with this Master Class and I was sad to see Ryan and Lisette go. I can’t wait to read more from Ms. Carr!
Terri from Night Owl Reviews said: 5/5 stars! Top Pick! Sweet and funny are not words I would normally match up with a BDSM story but they fit this one along with hot and enlightening. It’s a wonderful mixture of someone new to the scene and someone who knows what they want and looking to find it. So, is this a BDSM story with some sweet elements or a sweet romance with BDSM elements? Regardless of how you call it, this book is awesome. I thoroughly enjoyed it and didn’t want to put it down.
Kitty from Guilty Pleasures Book Reviews said: 5/5 stars! Perfect Delight Award! Cassandra Carr showed me a whole new side to the BDSM scene – the fun one! “Master Class” was a joy to read. The give and take, the “fun” they had together and the honesty between the two of them was refreshing. The writing was fresh and fun and I couldn’t have asked for anything more. Ms. Carr did not drag out the story, you knew and understood what all the characters were feeling and thinking without it being over-done. It was a story that was perfectly written and perfectly told.
Jennifer from Romance Novel News said: Recommended Read! In “Master Class,” Cassandra Carr features a new Dom who is just learning about the lifestyle. I admit that this is one of the main reasons that I wanted to read this story. And Carr hit all the right notes, creating a hero who stole my heart with his vulnerability and his growing confidence. One of my favorite parts of this book is the interaction between Lisette and Ryan while they are not playing. Ryan is definitely new to the lifestyle. He is keen to experience all that BDSM has to offer, but also cautious. He, therefore, spends a great deal of time talking to Lisette about their various desires and about what they might like to try. “Master Class” is a wickedly erotic romance with a Dom who will steal readers’ hearts as he discovers his own sexuality.
Zafira from The Jeep Diva Reviews said: 5/5 stars! Master Class is a symphony of BDSM blending kink with romance. Cassandra Carr writes a beautifully erotic tale. Ryan and Lisette form a bond that reaches subspace all unto itself. They crave sexual serenity and pleasure and find it in each other’s arms. The story is chocked full of heady sex leaving the reader stimulated and fulfilled. Each scene is artfully done, with class and thoughtfulness. Master Class is a romance story depicting souls yearning to trust and bond; finding a happy medium of sexual desire and love. Ms. Carr has outdone herself with this brilliant tale unifying lustfulness and romance; a slam dunk for fans of BDSM and true passion.
Michele from Seductive Musings said: 5/5 rating! Master Class is far and beyond my favorite read from [Carr]. The decision to let us in on what both characters are thinking and how they behave when they aren’t in each other’s presence helps us see the journey to their HEA as inevitable, if they can just believe it can happen. I know I’ve raved in previous reviews about Cassandra Carr’s skill in writing nuanced relationships in a genre so often lacking subtlety but it bears repeating for this review. Master Class is emotional without being overly angsty and touching without an excess of external drama. It’s one of the best new contemporary BDSM romances I’ve read this year.
Krystal from Satin Sheets Romance Reviews said: 5/5 pillows! This was my first Cassandra Carr read. It will not be my last! It was such a pleasure to watch Ryan grow into [his] role. Most D/s books are about dominants that are already established in that role. This was a fabulous change up. The BDSM was fantastic, but the loving relationship that developed between them was what really sealed the deal.
Annette from RomFan Reviews said: 5/5 hunks! Cassandra Carr as a hit on her hands! I loved this story and look forward to reading everything I can find written by Ms. Carr.
Karen from BDSM Book Reviews said: 4.5/5 paddles! Master Class offered a unique perspective on the BDSM theme-how does a new Dom know what to do? If he is responsible, he wants to make his subs happy, but how does he know how to start, how far to go, and learn what a sub needs? I very much enjoyed this book, even though it lacked drama. It was a satisfying read and asked and answered questions that certainly aren’t included in most BDSM books.
Nix from Scorching Book Reviews said: 4.5/5 stars! Cassandra Carr has done it again! This is an incredibly hot novella between two very wary individuals and I loved it. This is one I would reread as the end is very satisfying and incredibly sweet! The Dom was naive and the sub was experienced and that role reversal made this book a winner. It was smutty, heart-warming and of course as frustrating as hell. I loved Ryan!
Alberta from Manic Readers said: 4.5/5 stars! Master Class is a ‘how to’ of BDSM and is very well done, in my opinion. In other books of this genre I have read, it is generally the male who is more experienced, but Ryan allows Lisette to have a say in their scenes, and they are both fascinated with each others’ lives outside the scene. If you like BDSM that is tender and caring, yet at times rough and extremely hot and sexy, this is your book!
Jett from BookDevotee Reviews said: 5/5 stars! Another brilliant read from the genius of Cassandra Carr. If you like BDSM, but nothing too hardcore, then I would say with confidence that this might just be what you are looking for. I couldn’t stop reading this book once I started, it flowed so perfectly and I sure didn’t want it to end! It left me feeling greedy for wanting to read more hot exploits between the leading couple. I loved the connection between Lisette and Ryan, their chemistry was instant and heated. I very much enjoyed Master Class and I hope to read more books of the BDSM nature from Carr in the future. If you haven’t read a book from this author before, I would suggest fixing that, as you are missing out!
Victoria from TwoLipsReviews said: 5/5 lips! Cassandra Carr writes a novel guaranteed to put a lot of heat into your holidays in Master Class. I quite enjoyed seeing the male character for a change be the D/s newbie as well as a little gun-shy about a long term relationship. Through job ups and downs, honest expectations, and an exploration of each other’s’ needs, Ryan and Lisette go on a very steamy journey in Master Class. You have to admire Ryan, so comfortable in his own skin, that he seeks guidance from his fellow Dom, Jack. Bravo, Ms. Carr in bringing back Jack and Callie in Master Class to ramp up the erotic heat as well as give a little nudge to this couple. Don’t miss Cassandra Carr’s Master Class if you love realistic relationships which are fueled by D/s play.
Elf from the Reading Addict said: Master Class is a delightfully spicy erotic novel. This intriguing story was a fascinating depiction of the give and take of a Dominant/submissive relationship. The safeguards and care displayed by those who responsibly engage in this lifestyle are vividly described in an enchanting tale which is both sensual and romantic. I enjoyed the author’s ability to describe two wounded souls who are able to explore their carnal natures and learn to heal even as they find satisfaction in each other’s need for a kinky side to their relationship. This is the first work that I have read by this talented author but I am definitely looking forward to reading more of her enjoyable tales.
Guilty Indulgence Book Club said: 4/5 stars! Another high quality book from author Cassandra Carr. If you like BDSM - but aren't into anything too hardcore - this book is for you. Nicely paced with a smooth flow and some more inventive scenes make for a story you won't want to put down. I enjoyed most the relationship between Lisette and Ryan, particularly how he crafted their bdsm experiences to fit their personal needs. Those scenes were integrated with a sense of meaning that lacks in a lot of erotic romances. I've read other books by Carr before so I knew I would enjoy Master Class and I wasn't disappointed. I'd recommend this book particularly to those who like light bdsm with a good mix of romance.
Donna from You Gotta Read said: 4/5 stars! Master Class is an erotic love story with adorable characters and an interesting setting. The BDSM elements are very strong, and Ryan doesn’t seem to need any classes at all. A very enjoyable read.
Michelle from Romance in Review said: Master Class by Cassandra Carr is a wonderful blend of sizzling hot BDSM as well as romance. I very highly recommend this book! I was completely hooked from the very start and could not put it down. The writing is superb with well developed characters that I fell in love with. I had already read and loved Caught, so I was really excited to see the return of the characters from that story! I am a huge fan of Cassandra Carr’s books and I always look forward to reading anything she writes. If you haven’t read any of her books yet, then you definitely need to check them out.
Alyssa from Riverina Romantics said: I don’t think even an iceberg can cool me down from this. To say this story was hot is a complete understatement. There wasn’t a single chapter that went by where Ryan and Lisette weren't getting down and dirty, and by god it was awesome! Cloud 9 with some kink? Check! I really liked how Lisette and Ryan connected with each other. I also like how she first approached him at the club. Overall, this was quite an enjoyable book. If you’re looking for something hot and spicy, without all the angst and drama of a regular novel, this will definitely hit the spot.
Liz from Fictional Candy said: When I pick up a Cassandra Carr book I know two things for sure. 1) I’m about to read a story that is extremely hot, and 2) it’s not all about the sex by any means. This story is definitely one to add to your TBR if you have not already. Ryan and Lisette are two wonderful characters. The sex scenes in the BDSM club were absolutely toe-curling. Like I said before, Cassandra Carr can write good sex. Heck, she’s fantastic at it. But she really packs the story full with characters and a great plot, and a lot of emotion and drama. If you haven’t read her books, I seriously recommend you start.
The Brunette Librarian said: Wow!! Cassandra Carr outdid herself with this one and I'm not saying that lightly. The characters, the setting, the romance were all simply perfect. I think the thing I liked most about this book was the romance that went with it. The characters weren't just in this world, they actually cared for one another and a real relationship developed. Unique and different from other titles in this genre, I fell in love with Ryan completely and totally. Fans of Fifty Shades, Sylvia Day books, or really just looking for a great romance will like Cassandra Carr's newest title. Fabulous!
Sarah from RT Book Reviews said: Definitely a pleaser. Highly engaging and immensely fun. Readers familiar with BDSM will enjoy how Ryan "dominantly" embraces his new favorite pastime, while readers less familiar will revel in learning practices along with Ryan.
Words of Wisdom from the Scarf Princess said: Cassandra Carr has written a story that perfectly blends romance and the intense world of BDSM and wraps it up with a sweet yet playfully natured bow. It's not very often that I feel a story really understands and conveys what draws people to BDSM, but Master Class has done so masterfully. The sexual encounters in this story are intensely erotic and show BDSM in a positive light. Types of play are explained fully but not in a clinical way. From start to finish I became fully immersed in this new world and relationship Ryan has found himself in and was rooting for him and Lisette every step of the way. Their relationship was intensely erotic and loving with super steamy interludes nicely spaced throughout the story to not become overwhelming. Cassandra Carr has told a masterfully entertaining and satisfying story and I look forward to the next story in her repertoire.
Carin from My Reading Obsession said: 5/5 stars! Ryan and Lisette have more chemistry than a DuPont engineer convention and the BDSM scenes they do together will soak your panties and leave you so hot and bothered you would think you were in Memphis in August. This goes on my reread shelf, it is a story that people with any amount of knowledge of BDSM can enjoy.
Books, Books and More Books said: 4/5 cups! Ms. Carr gave the characters lots of depth, but what I admired most about them was the amount of reverence between Ryan and Lisette. The author did a superb job of pacing the romantic development based on the negative outcome of their past relationships; not just rushing toward the outcome.
Michelle from Ms. Romantic Reads said: 5/5 lips! This was my first Cassandra Carr book, and after reading Master Class, I can’t wait to read more of her work. Together, these two sent my Kindle into meltdown mode! The scenes … oh Lordy, the scenes! I’m so distracted right now just thinking about them, so I’ll just say this: Buy the book, right now! If you’re a fan of Cherise Sinclair, then you’ll really enjoy this book as well. This will always be one of my absolute favorite BDSM books. I’m madly in love with this author right now, and would I read this again? Hell, yes!
Susan from Sweet-n-Sassi said: 5/5 stars! Cassandra pens "Master Class" in a plot that shows a fascinating insight to dominant / submissive roles. Her characters were believable and totally hot in this BDSM love story. A great erotic drama that will draw you right in.
The Certifiable Wenches said: What I liked about Cassandra's book, is that there was more to it then just the sex part, which btw was very hot. This story also focused more on the relationship between Ryan and Lissette. I don't usually find the erotica I read to be erotic romance, but that's what Master Class is. Ryan and Lissette have a relationship that exists outside of the "club scene" which brings their characters to life more than if the story was one big BDSM scene. So you get a romance that is almost sweet with the hot super spicy sex too. The mixture was perfect and created an erotic novel that was satisfying and fun to read.
My debut novel, an erotic romance titled Talk to Me, was released by Loose Id on March 22, 2011.
ISBN #: 9781607379812
Radio producer Jamie MacMahon is in over her head with ex-hockey player-turned host Drew Milan. She's attracted to the man who earned the nickname “the Beast” during his playing days from the moment they meet, but he's her boss and she loves her new job. She's made plenty of mistakes with men and loathes the thought of being yet another plaything for Drew, a man who sleeps with women but doesn't date them.
Drew doesn't want to lose a great producer and knows Jamie deserves a real relationship, but can't stay away from the sizzling chemistry they create every time they're together. Jamie's insecurities and the very real prospect of having to leave a great job if this thing doesn't work out, coupled with Drew's fears about opening his heart and the possibility of losing his first competent producer clash.
Marika of Night Owl Reviews said: - 4.5/5 Stars - NAMED A TOP PICK! I don't think that a book has ever surprised me but I was completely surprised by TALK TO ME. TALK TO ME is Cassandra Carr's debut novel and it packs a wallop. This book was packed full of emotion, playfulness, and sexiness. The sex was beyond combustible and very frequent but highly necessary to the story. The plotting and pacing were great, too. It never slowed down and there weren't unnecessary secondary characters to complicate the story. At times, I really felt like I was part of the story; watching it unfold in the shadows. I felt the emotions that Jamie and Drew were going through and their thought processes. I highly recommend TALK TO ME for anyone that wants to read a super sexy but thought provoking book about insecurities and finding love when you thought you wouldn't love again.
Rebecca of The Romance Reviews said: - 5/5 Stars - NAMED A TOP PICK! Cassandra Carr's debut novel, TALK TO ME, is a well-written, funny and sexy erotic story of falling in love. Ms Carr wove the sexual tension and interludes so seamlessly into the story that they were not just delicious but also necessary. With a consistent pace, the story of Jamie and Drew progressed naturally as the reader felt a sense of presence within the story. TALK TO ME is a sexy story with the added bonus of having more depth than most. Readers will easily relate to the theme and be cheering the characters on as they discover love in a place neither thought they would.
Tanya of Joyfully Reviewed said: - Talk to Me by Cassandra Carr is one fast paced and sensual read. I love how the ladies’ man is suddenly unsure of himself, when presented with a woman who is really just what she projects herself to be, especially as it is a coworker. I love Jamie’s ideas for his show and how she responds to situations she is put in with him. I enjoyed not only the premise of Talk to Me but the writing. I look forward to more offerings from Ms. Carr.
Siren Book Reviews said: - 4.5/5 Siren Stones Talk to Me by Cassandra Carr was a delightful read. I loved Jamie and her star struck composure in the beginning. Drew was definitely fantasizing material. When he came into play; pun not intended. I giggled at her compromising position for their introduction to each other. From there Drew was hooked. I felt for Jaime because it seemed she wore her heart on her sleeve and deserved more than what appeared to be going on off business hours. I only hoped Drew would get it together. Drew exuded magnetism like moths to the flame. Hurt from the past he turned to the bachelor womanizing ways. I was pleased as punch when Jaime knocked him off his game and he began second guessing his decisions. The passion sparked between them as their relationship grew to new levels. Dirty talk and kink added another level of enjoyment to these two characters. All in all a very good read for the evening, and one to pick up again.
Camyrn of the Pen & Muse Reviews said:- People ask me a lot what “erotic romance” is, because I write it. I say, it’s a love story in which sex is the primary motivator behind a couple falling in love. They may not think they want to be in love, and they may even think they’re going to have casual sex, but they end up deep in a romance. And the sex is INTEGRAL to that. In fact, the sex has to be the reason they fall in love. This is what makes “Talk to Me” so good. Unlike some books that call themselves erotic romance and are really just an excuse to put sex scenes in every chapter, Drew and Jamie’s story is quite literally the story of two people falling in love by having sex. A lot of sex. Of course, the fact that Drew is an ex-hockey player helps. But what really makes the book good, for me, is that she really gets what makes erotic romance good. I’m compiling a list of erotic romance authors that really get the concept of the genre, and based on this book, I think Cassandra Carr will be on that list.
Babs of the 100 Romances Project said: - 4/5 Stars A very enjoyable read. It was nice to read the banter between the two characters. There were some misunderstandings and ribbing by Drew's buddies that kept the story flowing and easy to read. The book kept my interests and the hot love making scenes were out of this world. A great story anyone would want to read.
Ronda of Queentutt's World of Escapism said: - 4/5 Stars Let me say that the explicit erotic scenes were truly outstanding and very well written to the point I could actually visualize each scene and due to that I plan on reading more of Cassandra Carr’s work.
Stacey of Sizzling Hot Book Reviews said: - Both Drew and Jamie are believable characters with issues most of us can relate to. Talk to Me does a great job of giving us the little details that mean so much when connecting with characters and a storyline. I would recommend Talk to Me for anyone who wants to read a good romance with a lot of heat and a lot of heart.
Scorching Book Reviews said: - 4/5 Stars Drew is the typical ex-sports star; he keeps in shape, women throw themselves at him and he gains media attention wherever he goes. He has functioned for years by keeping women at arm’s length, using them only for sexual release and then discarding them. When he meets Jamie, his entire reality is thrown off balance and it was fabulous to see the mighty man-whore fall. I loved his slightly smarmy playboy attitude because it made me giggle, but most of all I loved that he took such attention over Jamie’s sexual pleasure. The main attraction for her was his voice, so he talks dirty to her for most of their time together (this was very very very hot!). This is definitely an erotic romance. There is lots and lots of sex, and it all was incredibly steamy. There is limo sex, office sex, sex with food, bath sex...you get the picture right? :D This is a story that starts with sexual attraction, and the feelings grow from there. This is a very hot read about a man and a woman who let lust over rule common sense and have a very steamy affair and I enjoyed it...a lot!
Stacey of Beyond Her Book blog on Publisher's Weekly said: - Debut author Carr delivers a scorching erotic tale that captures the essence of Manhattan, Brooklyn and two people who have legitimate concerns about being in a relationship. With her skillful pen, she draws them closer, past emotional pitfalls and well developed secondary characters, towards a love that I genuinely believe is happily ever after.
Barbara of Just Erotic Romance Reviews said: - 4/5 Stars I was half in love with Drew by page ten! Drew has kept himself in shape and likes to dominate in the bedroom, in addition to having a sexy voice. Jamie is very sympathetic as well; she thinks her curly hair is uncontrollable and her chest is too large, but overall she’s a strong, self-confident woman making her way in the broadcasting business who isn’t afraid to push back in the bedroom. The sex between the two of them is very hot, including some light spanking and bondage. I enjoyed Talk to Me enough to look forward to more from Cassandra Carr. I’m sure she will only get better!
Aimee of Coffee Table Reviews said: - 4/5 Stars This was such an enjoyable read! I quickly grew attached to the characters and quickly had an invested interest in the outcome of their pending relations. It was a nice, fun, light read that kept me turning the page with no regard for time or responsibilities. The story was interesting. I liked the idea behind the talk show. While I've read plenty of athlete related romances, this was a slightly different spin since Drew was retired and spent his time following hockey and doing anything hockey related on his show. I'm not a big sports person so this definitely made it easy for someone like me (who knows nothing of hockey) to follow along and not feel left behind in different scenes. What I liked most was that if you took out all the sex, there is still a great story going on. I've read my fair share of Loose Id novels and I think this is one of the best. I, being a hopeless romantic, love the story. The struggle to finally get together. Neither the story, nor the romance gets left behind in this book. A hot read that should definitely get picked up!
